William Haselden, Principal with 18 years of experience as a former public accountant and trust officer in the banking industry, William provides a unique and invaluable service for clients of Anchor Investment Management. His experience from these careers allows him to empower clients and colleagues with the knowledge they need for making informed investment options and decisions.
William’s roots run deep throughout the Columbia community, and he left for a brief time to earn a Bachelor of Arts from The University of the South at Sewanee before returning home. He continued his education at the University of South Carolina where he earned a Master’s of Business Administration, and though he no longer works in public accounting, William learned to translate legal documents into language that clients could understand. He entered the banking industry and served as a Personal Trust Officer and Vice President for Branch Bank and Trust Company before joining Anchor in October of 2019.
William places a high value on spending time with his family and giving back to the community. When he’s not helping clients at Anchor, he enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing, as well as family vacations to the beach. He lends a hand as an assistant coach on his daughter’s equestrian team at Hammond School, serves on the Foundation of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, and sits on the boards of the Congaree Land Trust and Columbia Estate Planning Council of the Congaree Land Trust.
